Know Your Rights

Too often, people are made to feel like criminals for harmless actions that involve no injured party, like running a stop sign when no one is around. We are not here to encourage lawlessness but to help you understand your rights, your responsibilities, and how the system works so you can stand confidently in your lawful position.

Running a Stop Sign is Not a Crime Without Injury

If you run a stop sign at 2 AM with no cars around and no one gets hurt, you have not committed a crime under true law. Police often enforce policies for revenue, but if there is no injured party, there is no true crime under Common Law and the Supreme Court has ruled similarly in various contexts.

Example: "There can be no sanction or penalty imposed upon one because of exercise of constitutional rights." Sherar v. Cullen, 481 F.2d 946 (1973)

Foundational Rights You Should Know

  • Bill of Rights: Your fundamental protections under the Constitution, including the right to due process, free speech, and the right to travel freely.
  • Common Law: Law based on harm or injury, not statutes or codes. If there is no injured party or property damage, there is no crime.
  • Universal Law & Commercial Law: Governed by UCC; commercial claims require contracts and consent.
  • Trust Law: Understanding trusts can protect your rights, your property, and your legacy from unnecessary interference.
  • Tort Law: Involves compensation when someone is injured or their property is damaged.
